One of my key responsibilities as the Executive Creative Director at Deliveroo was to set a creative vision for the brand. This included a full review of how the brand expressed itself and developing a foundational positioning strategy to guide the brand team in developing a differentated and authentic expression of the brand.

Five years in it's existence, the Deliveroo brand was ready to feel more confident and grown up. Less shouting, more invitational. And it needed to convey our love of food, the reason why we exist, in an playfully witty manner.

LEADING THE BRAND TEAM in creating a comprehensive brand book to unite our output globally, across disciplines and markets. Bringing the brand strategy to life and guide us in how we sound, look like and act - the team overhauled how the we expressed ourselves inline with our updated brand personality principles.
Working with the in-house team, the output of this review was a comprehensive 118-page brand book to unite a global brand, across disciplines and markets. A brand book to guide us in how we speak, what we look like and how we act.
ILLUSTRATING THE JOY OF FOOD Working with the talented illustrator Ben Pearce we created a dynamic and fresh visual style, setting the tone for the use of illustration assets from lifestyle all the way through to influencing the in-app experience.

BRAND ICONAGRAPHY We engaged our illustrator again to come up with a modern take on food themed iconography.
BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY Setting the standard for our core brand photography to hero real every day food moments and putting our riders front and centre. We created an image bank of non-campaign specific assets to be used in all twelve markets, refreshing the image bank every quarter with new content.
