One of my key responsibilities as the Executive Creative Director at Deliveroo was to set a creative vision for the brand. This included a full review of how the brand expressed itself.

Five years in it's existence, the Deliveroo brand was ready to feel more confident and grown up. Less shouting, more invitational. And it needed to convey our love of food, the reason why we exist, in an playfully witty manner.

Working with the in-house team, the output of this review was a comprehensive 118-page brand book to unite a global brand, across disciplines and markets. A brand book to guide us in how we speak, what we look like and how we act.

FUNDAMENTAL VISUAL BRAND ELEMENTS Everything from how to use the Deliveroo logo to graphic devices and colour palette was reviewed and refreshed to bring the brand inline with a more confident personality.

ILLUSTRATION Working with our in-house illustrator we created a dynamic and fresh visual style, setting the tone for the use of illustration assets from lifestyle all the way through to app level.

BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY Part of the branding work was to set the standard of our photography across the board and build up an image bank of non-campaign specific assets to be used in all twelve markets, refreshing the image bank every quarter with new content.

For the core brand photography, we stayed true to the Deliveroo belief - genuine lovers of food and the joy it brings to our life. The photography is warm, inviting and heroes real everyday moments.
